Van der Wal, a sustainable partner for Global Software Solutions

Van der Wal Transport, the most sustainable logistics partner for almost 100 years and a loyal customer of our company for several years. The company was founded in 1924 and has grown over the years into an all-round logistics service provider with branches in the Netherlands, England, Poland, Romania, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. At present, approximately 425 employees are employed.

A long-standing and fruitful collaboration

A loyal and faithful customer, that is how we can best describe Van der Wal after many years of collaboration. Due to the exponential growth and associated challenges that the logistics company has faced in recent years, they came by several times with software-related questions. For example, we were the first to implement 'Accountview', a financial software application designed to help companies manage their finances. With this application, users can easily gain insight into the financial situation in order to always make the appropriate business decisions.
The logical continuation? An upscaling! In 2017, we therefore switched them from 'Accountview' to 'Navision', an ERP application from Microsoft, with the great advantage of being adaptable and scalable. We rolled out the system, fully tailored to their needs, so that they could also visualize the finances and the necessary business processes via this system. One of the most used features of the program? The 'Document Capture' with which invoices can simply be scanned and then processed in a fully automatic manner in the accounting system.

Switch to Business Central

About two years ago we started the transition from 'Navision' to the latest version of 'Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central'. An all-in-one solution that streamlines business processes and increases operational efficiency.

The program offers Van der Wal a fully integrated system that works seamlessly with other Microsoft products and once again saves them a lot of manual work in terms of finances. Invoices are scanned, booked automatically and even paid, which significantly reduces the margin of error.

Measuring is knowing

In addition to Business Central, we also implemented 'Power BI', a business intelligence software application from Microsoft, some time ago. It offers them a set of tools to collect, analyze and visualize data, enabling them to quickly and easily gain important insights.

The next step? That is the integration of the entire Power Platform. It is a software platform that builds business mobile apps and web apps, adapted to specific business needs and with virtually no coding. Even more possibilities for Van der Wal to manage and automate all data.
